Wow, good for you for daring to go meatless for a whole month. The hubby, Meat Boy, is more open to doing a vegetarian meal now and then -- which is astounding for him, as you know. Here's to more veggie-centric eating in the New Year! ;)

I thought of Meat Boy as I prepared for this. I'm pretty much a meat boy myself. I eat a lot less meat than I used to, but I still love it.

Tuesday will be interesting. I am having lunch with co-workers at Armadillo Willy's Texas BBQ! I thought about a change of venue but thought, no, it will be interesting to see how I do with the -one- vegetarian item on their whole menu while the rest have ribs and pulled pork!

Stay tuned...

Sites and Blogs I like

  • Serious Eats
Serious Eats is another blog which plants its stake, and its steak, in the fertile land where food meets science. There is lots of great material here, much of it by J. Kenji Lopez-Alt, or Kenji. If you like FeedMe, you will like Serious Eats.
  • Cooking for Engineers
What do you get when you apply the engineer's mind to the kitchen? Straightforward, practical recipes and tips and a passion for simplifying without sacrificing quality.
  • Harold McGee, the Curious Cook
Did this guy invent kitchen science? Not really but he pioneered it. I 'love' this stuff.
  • FoodGal
Carolyn Jung, a great Bay Area food writer, discusses restaurants, food events, ingredients, and what she's cooking. Heart, fun, and food!
