Men

Did You Say Something, Honey?

"When women are speaking at great length, men tend to tune them out." Research now offers reasons. We can now buttress our lame excuses with some lame research.

From The Week magazine, reporting from discovery.com:

"When women are speaking at great length, men tend to tune them out. Now men have have a scientific excuse. Female voices, a study finds, are more complex than male voices, making men's brains work harder when listening to them. ... Women speak with a greater range of sound frequencies than men (and) have more melody in their voices. ... Men process (male and female voices) in different portions of the brain."
